Tourist News
At Az Tourist News we accept the position within our own organization that "No 1 of us is smarter than ALLof us." This was a quote taken from a book, "Key Leadership," the folks that wrote "Emotional Intelligence." I desire to illustrate how equally a Country, Arizona's height tourism professionals but aren't getting information technology. Nosotros are all so provincial in our arroyo to marketing. I take recently discovered that due to the many chal- lenges Destination Resorts are facing, they are in my view reacting instead of being PRO-active. I have learned that facing steady declines, many of Arizona'south top resorts are doing their best to proceed their guests on belongings. I believe this is bad for the resorts in question, information technology is bad for Arizona tourism in general... and this is why. There are non likewise many resort expe- riences that cannot be replicated any place in the world. Case in bespeak… wait at Las Vegas - they are actually recreat- ing Paris, Venice, and the like. If resorts tin replicate the charm of European cities in Vegas, and so the southwestern experience can certainly be recreated at other destination resorts. So when someone says what did you do in Arizona, and the response is …well, nosotros played some great courses, nosotros had some nifty dining, and we stayed in a wonderful suite with impeccable ser- vice, oh, and our kids loved that great new water slide - the question becomes… how do those resorts there- fore compete when there is nothing spe- cific like Arizona's slap-up rural destina- tions being part of the feel - such that if they wished to do THATagain… approximate what… they would have to come BACK to Arizona. Awonderful con- cept. Can y'all imagine the reception a resort might experience if an in-house travel person/concierge were to enable guests to visit some of our rural gems, similar Bisbee, Lake Havasu, Prescott, Tombstone, White Mountains, Apache Junction, and many, many more loca- tions - to go mayhap for one night and two days…the ease of which came directly from the Resort Lifestyle they chose… what an experience. They just might come up back to that same resort knowing that going there isn't going to be a indistinguishable feel of what they did year(s) earlier or others are replicat- ing enmasse worldwide. I don't call back anyone, anywhere can duplicate Arizona, the Destination. However, like most Americans we think likewise much about the brusque term proceeds, without looking at the long term loss. I tin make the aforementioned statement with some our largest, high contour com- munities. Provincal in their belief that the world revolves around them instead of the other way around, which makes the marketing of Arizona a competitive affair instead of a warm, welcoming co- cooperative effort that might just get out a ameliorate taste in the mouth of visitors when they see how well Nosotros all get along throughout ALLof Arizona. They might experience and then proficient most information technology, that they just might decide to live hither or bring their business here. Just imagine the possibilities. We are at the starting line for Southern Arizona's Tourism Season, while the Northern area pares down its summer activities and regroups to han- dle those of us who like the cooler weather condition and winter experiences in the Northern/High Mountains of Arizona. All of us in the business concern of hospitali- ty look forward to this part of the sea- son, vacations are over, kids are back in school and we can get dorsum to the busi- ness of growing our businesses while making welcome those who wish to experience all of Arizona, non but the resort they are staying at, not merely the great city they are visiting, and not only the best golf course listed in one of those too many to count glossy golf guides. Arizona, "America's Natural Theme Park," awaits you and remember Az Tourist News - don't go into your car without it... safe journey!
